The doughnut of life is composed of human clay and as we wander we attract individuals who have no special tribal affiliation but become part of our lives. The Hawaiians refer to such aggregations as hui's and when they develop as a family as an Ohana. How do we know them? They go to picnics and the opera, to political rallies and to funerals and weddings. They also congregate at coffee shops and cafes such as

  • Nowadays ohana's are formed to humanize technology or just for commercial purposes. Sometimes a little of both. The Saturn automobile company advertises this 'family' relations. Somewhat skeptical the Craven's bought a Saturn
