The garlic growing in our garden has had incredible success. However, it has had a full year of growing without bulbing. Head gardener, John Biloon has discovered it is too cold and too wet for the garlic to bulb. A current experiment is taking place to see if the garlic will bulb if it is not planted so deep, and we will also dedicate an entire bed to garlic to see what manipulating the flow of cold water to the pipes will do and how it will affect their bulbing. The initial idea behind the first planting of garlic was its use as a cash crop for the nation of Haiti. It seems that it will benefit Haiti enormously once a cold water agriculture station is set up there. One of the miraculous things about this tremendous breakthrough in agriculture is that it can be used to grow the monetary wealth of a poor nation so it does not have to entirely rely on developed countries. It can also be used to self sustain a community and give the people the means to feed themselves in a cost-effective and easy way.
