On the average there are twelve
hours of daylight and twelve hours of night. From sunrise to sunset
the world is awake. "Morning has broken like the New Morning,
Blackbird is Singing like the New Bird. Wake for the sun that
scattered into flight. the stars of morning from the field of
night, drives night along from morning.. work through the morning
hours, work while the dew is shining, work mid springing flowers..
work while the day grows brighter, work through the glowing
sun..work through the sunny noon, fill brightest hours with labor,
rest comes sure and soon, Give every flying minute something to
keep in store work for the night is coming when we work no more.
And the night shall be filled with music and the cares that infest
the day shall fold their tents like the arabs and silently steal
away. The sleep sweet sleep that knits the ravelled sleeve of care,
death of each days life, sore labors balm. Chief nourisher in
life's feast.
